Welcome to Coastside State Parks Association

The Coastside State Parks Association (CSPA) supports fifteen California State Parks along 36 miles of San Mateo County coastline from Gray Whale Cove State Beach in Montara in the north to Año Nuevo State Park in Pescadero to the south. In partnership with California State Parks, CSPA raises funds to support vital education and interpretation programs and projects.

This map shows the State Parks and Beaches that we support.  To learn more about these State Parks and Beaches, scroll down through this list.

Interested in native plants? Want to help State Parks restore the land along our coast? The Half Moon Bay State Beach Native Plant Nursery is looking for new volunteers to help grow plants for State Park restoration projects.

The nursery is offering potential volunteers a special introduction to the nursery on several days in August. These behind-the-scenes events are scheduled from 10 AM to 12 PM on Thursday 20 August, Wednesday 26 August, and Saturday 29 August.

Experienced nursery volunteers will show you around the nursery, answer any questions about the plants and how they are used in State Park restoration, and give you an opportunity to participate in hands-on work, mainly planting seeds or transplanting. It is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in native plants, gardening, or plant propagation.

The nursery is located in Half Moon Bay State Beach at Francis Beach, 95 Kelly Ave., inside the fence at the south end of the parking lot. Volunteers can park for free while working in the nursery. For more information or to state your interest, email boutella@pacbell.net.
