A Unique Experience
at Año Nuevo State Park
When: Saturday, Jan. 19 or Feb. 16, 2013
For these two days only you can have extraordinary access to photograph northern elephant seals at the peak of the breeding season on the beaches at Año Nuevo State Park.
This is a unique opportunity to photograph the elephant seals at sunrise, when the elephant seals are most active. A park ranger will escort photographers to optimal elephant seal viewing locations at Año Nuevo Point. All viewing access is predicated on public safety and resource protection within State and Federal law. These fund-raising tours are in addition to the normal guided walk program held daily at the park.
|With the number of spaces limited, the tours will sell out quickly. Secure your space for a Sunrise Photography Tour.|
Number of photographers per tour: 8
Cost of the fund-raiser: $150/person, $10/vehicle parking fee (day passes are valid)
Time: Arrive at Año Nuevo by 6:30 am. Meet the park ranger guide in the parking lot and drive out to the dunes (sunrise is between 7:00 and 7:30). You will have three full hours to photograph.
