The Store is the starting point for your journey to see the elephant seals.  During the breeding season, the tours start from here and during the rest of the year, this is where you can pick up the permit to enter the Natural Preserve.

Merchandise in the store is representative of the cultural and natural history of the area.  The best sellers include jewelry, clothing and stuffed animals including elephant seals, sea lions and harbor seals.  Books, puzzles, postcards and postage stamps are also available.

New Item Highlight

Our newest item offered for sale is a backpack, demonstrated here with patches and pins from the various parks along the San Mateo County Coast.  Not all patches and pins will be available in every park store.

Some items are available in all of our stores. Our self-published book Native Plants of the San Mateo Coast and state park logo items are common across the three stores, as are the Coastal Access Guide, and a geology book and some of the most popular stuffed animals – harbor seals, otters and octopuses.
