Join a trained docent on an introductory birding walk to learn and discover the diversity of birds who are visiting Año Nuevo this fall. The tour is a one-way walk, ending out at the preserve area, and will be a couple miles in length and a couple of hours in duration.

You must receive your free and required permit at the park before joining the walk, and are welcome to see the elephant seals in the preserve after the birding walk. Permits are handed out beginning at 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM. If possible, it is highly recommended that you bring binoculars.

Meet at the Marine Education Center. The birding walk is group size limited.

Rain cancels. The bird walk is free, parking fee $10.
